The Sigma Xi STEM Art and Film Festival culminates on the final day of the Society’s Annual Meeting and Student Research Conference. The festival is open to the public at no cost. The event showcases creative science-art collaborations and provides a platform to broadly communicate science through different engaging forms of visual and performing arts, including photography, painting, 3D visualization, videos, films, and documentaries.

Participants may choose to enter the festival competition, featuring monetary prizes of up to $500 in each of three categories: artwork, performing art, and film. The People’s Choice Award in each category is selected by a public vote. For more information, please visit sigmaxi.org/saff.
