Online: iPad Apps for Fluency & Revision in Maths, inc SEND

June 20, 2023 @ 7:30 am 8:30 am CDT

Digital Learning Cornwall is an independent EdTech research and training department, based within the Aspire Academy Trust. We cut through the hype and jargon to identify and embed technologies that have genuine impact. Our focus is on technologies that can be utilised regularly by non-specialist primary school staff, enhancing learning and saving teachers vital time.

If you would like to discuss requirements for your school, arrange bespoke training sessions, or simply gain an opinion, do drop us a line.

Online: iPad apps for fluency & revision in Maths, including SEND

You may have seen the White Rose Maths 1-Minute app, but what else is available to stimulate children’s mathematical curiosity and provide variety to their maths diet? Plus how and when can such technologies be used for maximum impact and minimum disruption?

This session will open teacher’s eyes to pertinent use of devices within class, explaining how they can be utilised in everyday learning, as well as for interventions and for extending children’s learning. The session will consider productive usage in both key stages, as well as for SEND and others who would benefit from easily accessible fluency work.

Free tool Apple Classroom will be demonstrated to show how it offers timesaving and ease, managing the access children have on each device

A variety of apps will be looked at and considered in the context of everyday teaching and learning

Key questions of when and how such apps can be employed will be explored

Research evidence will be referred to, providing an outline of what to expect from within a useful app

This training is free for Aspire Academy Trust staff to attend.

Non-Aspire staff also welcome: £25/person
