STEM Tech 2024 combines Engineering, Coding, and Robotics into 13 weeks of STEM fun and learning. Each section features four projects, and students gain skills in design, problem solving, and tech. Students who complete all projects in a section earn prizes and certificates.
STEM Tech Engineering is the kick off session of STEM Tech 2024 and is sponsored by the Toledo Youth Programming Grant. The class is open to grades 3 – 6 and meets Thursday evenings (6-8pm) at Sanger Library from January 25, 2024 through February 15, 2024.
In STEM Tech Engineering, students learn basic mechanical and electrical principles. They will learn to use common tools including pliers, wire cutters, screwdrivers, wrenches, and shears. Each week features a new project. Students learn collaboration by working in teams, but each student creates their own project.
